GRAND RAPIDS, MI - September 14, 2011- The West Michigan community understands supporting non profits that address the needs of families. So does Art Van Furniture.  After all, it was serving families that helped the furniture giant become what it is today.  At a news conference this afternoon, Michigan’s largest retailer awarded thousands of dollars to help several West Michigan charities that specifically target families in need. It was part of the Art Van Million Dollar Charity Challenge, where Art Van Furniture gives away $1 million to 50 Michigan-based charities that not only help families, but also focus on children, health and human services programs as well.
